Quanta Computer's EVP Mike Yang reportedly stated that Nvidia's Rubin-based AI servers are expected to ship in small volumes starting August 2026. Yang noted that the transition to Rubin-based servers would be smoother due to architecture commonality with Nvidia GB-based servers. Quanta also aims to double its production capacity this year.
Context
Quanta Computer has confirmed it will begin shipping Nvidia’s next-generation Rubin platform in August 2026. By utilizing existing GB200 and GB300 system architectures for the initial rollout, Quanta aims to ensure a stable mass production schedule and minimize deployment friction. This move signals a shift toward high-density rack-level solutions, with the company leveraging integrated network switches to capture higher value across entire AI clusters.
Management expects AI servers to contribute 80% of total server revenue this year, supported by projected triple-digit growth in shipment volume. To sustain this momentum, Quanta intends to double its production capacity by the end of 2026 and expand its server division workforce by up to 800 employees. These expansions are critical to meeting record-breaking demand from hyperscalers as the company enters what it describes as a multi-year AI super-cycle.
