Supply chain partners identified for M9 compute and switch tray components

Suppliers for the M9 platform compute and switch trays have been identified, including several printed circuit board and copper clad laminate manufacturers. Unimicron and Victory Giant Tech are providing PCBs for the compute tray, while Victory Giant Tech and WUS Printed Circuit are supplying the switch tray. Material suppliers include Doosan, Shengyi, and EMC.
Context
The semiconductor supply chain is pivoting to the M9 material standard to support NVIDIA’s next-generation Vera Rubin platform, which is essential for enabling 1.6T networking speeds. This shift to M9 grade substrates significantly increases the bill-of-materials value per server tray. Unimicron and Victory Giant Technology have secured the primary PCB contracts for the compute tray, with Doosan providing the copper-clad laminate (CCL). The switch tray relies on WUS Printed Circuit and Victory Giant Technology for PCBs, supported by Elite Material Co. (EMC) and Shengyi Technology for the specialized CCL materials.
EMC currently leads technical readiness for mass production as the industry prepares for a late 2025 manufacturing ramp-up. Victory Giant Technology has already experienced explosive stock growth due to its strategic dual-tray positioning. While restricted access to Mainland China and Korean listings like Shengyi Technology and Doosan limits direct trading for some, the transition signals a major growth cycle for the advanced AI materials market heading into 2026.
