Quanta reports that its Nvidia GB300 server shipments overtook GB200 volumes during the fourth quarter. The company is currently increasing its manufacturing capacity in both the United States and Thailand to support sustained demand for AI infrastructure.
Context
Quanta Computer has reported that shipments of Nvidia’s GB300 AI servers officially surpassed the GB200 model during the fourth quarter of last year. This rapid transition, which began in September, highlights an accelerating upgrade cycle within the Blackwell architecture. For investors, this shift indicates that top-tier cloud providers are moving toward more advanced configurations faster than initially projected, solidifying Nvidia’s dominance in the high-end data center market and driving higher-margin hardware sales.
To meet this surging demand, Quanta is significantly expanding its production capacity across the United States and Thailand. EVP Mike Yang noted that these expansions are critical for maintaining the scale required for global AI infrastructure deployments. Simultaneously, supply chain partners like Sunny Optical are gaining momentum as they provide critical components for these increasingly complex server builds. This regional diversification and rapid product ramp-up suggest sustained revenue growth for the AI supply chain throughout the current year.
