This move comes as the global memory shortage, driven by the shift toward HBM3e and DDR5 for AI data centers, begins to cannibalize the production of conventional DRAM and NAND. Consequently, the smartphone market is bracing for a projected 10% to 30% decline in output for 2026, as components are reallocated to higher-margin AI infrastructure.
