Wistron reported strong financial growth and projected high visibility for AI infrastructure orders through 2027. The company's leadership stated that the AI investment cycle is currently only in phase 1.5, with subsequent waves of infrastructure spending expected. Wistron confirmed that its new manufacturing facility in Texas is on track to begin mass production in the second quarter of this year. Additionally, the company noted that at least half of its recent $1 billion capital expenditure was allocated to operations in Taiwan, despite expanding its global footprint.

Context

Wistron has confirmed robust AI infrastructure order visibility extending through 2027, signaling sustained demand as the industry moves beyond the initial investment phase. Management describes the current market as being in "Wave 1.5" of a multi-stage AI cycle, dismissing bubble fears and forecasting high revenue and profit growth for 2026. This optimism is supported by record-level momentum, with January revenue surging 151.5% year-over-year to NT$228.37 billion, the third-highest monthly figure in the company’s history. To support this growth, Wistron is scaling its global capacity, with its new Texas facility on track for mass production in Q2 2026 following small-scale trials in the first quarter. This expansion forms part of a broader strategy to serve major Cloud Service Providers while balancing geographic risks. Despite international expansion, the company remains anchored in Taiwan, where it allocated at least half of its $1 billion capital expenditure last year to bolster its primary manufacturing and R&D base.
