Context
Meta CFO Susan Li recently highlighted a significant 80% improvement in coding efficiency among the company's developers, driven by the internal adoption of AI tools. This operational milestone comes as Meta aggressively pivots its infrastructure toward "personal superintelligence," moving past its previous heavy losses in the Metaverse. To support this trajectory, the company has announced a massive $135 billion AI investment plan through 2026.
To power these gains, Meta recently entered a strategic multi-year partnership with AMD to deploy up to 6 gigawatts of AI infrastructure. This includes a custom AMD Instinct GPU based on the MI450 architecture, with first deployments expected in the second half of 2026. By integrating AI into both its developer workflows and its core advertising systems, Meta reported a 24% revenue increase to $60 billion in the final quarter of 2025, signaling that AI efficiency is now a primary driver of its financial performance.
