Three Major Taiwanese CCL Suppliers Report Strong November Revenue Driven by AI Server Demand

Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 06:26 AM

Taigu Technology, Unimicron Technology, and Taimac Technology all reported strong November 2024 revenue figures, with Taigu Technology setting a new historical high, primarily attributed to increasing demand for materials used in AI server motherboards and high-speed applications like PCIe Gen 6/Gen 7.

Context

Taiwanese copper-clad laminate (CCL) suppliers experienced robust revenue growth in November 2025, primarily fueled by surging demand from AI servers, high-speed networking, and cloud data centers. TPOS reported record consolidated sales of approximately NT$8.129 billion, marking a significant 28.30% year-over-year increase. Similarly, Taiwan Union Technology saw its November revenue reach around NT$2.997 billion, up 10.97% year-over-year, while Taiyo achieved approximately NT$3.025 billion, a substantial 33.78% year-over-year jump. This strong performance is attributed to accelerating motherboard upgrades, moving from M7/M8 to M9 platforms and supporting PCIe Gen6/Gen7, which necessitates higher-end CCL materials. Furthermore, rising costs for critical raw materials like copper foil and electronic-grade glass fiber cloth are contributing to increased average selling prices (ASPs) and unit usage of CCLs. Analysts anticipate this growth trajectory for high-end CCLs to continue into 2025 and 2026, positioning these Taiwanese manufacturers favorably within the evolving AI supply chain.
