Tier 1 supplier Bosch and Chinese chipmaker Horizon Robotics signed an agreement to use the Journey 6B, 6E, and 6M SoCs in Bosch's next-generation multipurpose camera and mid-segment Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) family. The collaboration aims to deliver cost-effective assisted driving solutions to multiple automakers globally.

Context

On April 24, 2025, Bosch and Horizon Robotics intensified their collaboration, with Bosch integrating Horizon's Journey 6 chips into its new assisted driving solutions. This strategic partnership involves Bosch basing a new multipurpose camera on Horizon's Journey 6B and a mid-segment ADAS family on Journey 6E/M. The Journey 6B offers approximately 18 TOPS of computing power, boasting over 2x performance, a system cost reduction of more than 25%, and a power consumption cut exceeding 30% compared to its predecessor. The Journey 6 series, which spans 18-560 TOPS, has already been selected by over 20 OEMs for more than 100 models. Bosch's multipurpose camera is slated for mass production by mid-2026, while its mid-segment ADAS solutions have secured contracts with five OEMs, including JeTour, Dongfeng, and BAIC, with the first mass-produced model expected in June 2025 and an overseas project in Q1 2026. Shipments of Journey 6 are projected to surpass 1 million units by 2025.
