GlobalFoundries and Renesas are expanding their partnership to accelerate semiconductor manufacturing in the U.S., with tape-outs expected to begin mid-2026. This collaboration will initially focus on U.S. manufacturing, then extend to GlobalFoundries' sites in Germany and Singapore, and its partner companies in China. They are also considering porting some of GlobalFoundries' process technologies to Renesas's fabs in Japan.
