Alchip is expected to handle the back-end development of AWS Trainium 4, with Annapurna Labs managing the front-end. However, Broadcom is reportedly pitching Intel's EMIB-T advanced packaging technology for the Trainium 4 order. While Broadcom is unlikely to secure a significant share, AWS might allocate a minority share to validate Intel's EMIB-T. Trainium 4 is projected for volume ramp-up in early 2027.
