Nvidia becomes Micron's largest customer according to recent reports

Nvidia has reportedly become the largest customer for Micron, highlighting the strong demand for HBM and memory components in the AI supply chain.
Context
Nvidia has officially surpassed all other clients to become the largest customer of Micron, according to recent supply chain reports in early 2026. This milestone follows a series of high-profile endorsements from Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who characterized Micron’s memory performance as essential for the Blackwell GPU series. The deepening relationship centers on High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), where Micron's latest HBM3E 12-stack chips have become indispensable for scaling large-scale AI training clusters.
This shift has fundamentally reshaped Micron's business model, pushing its datacenter revenue to over 50% of total sales. The company has announced that its HBM supply for both 2025 and 2026 is already fully committed, securing massive forward contracts that provide rare long-term revenue visibility. As Nvidia prepares to launch the Vera Rubin platform later this year, Micron is accelerating HBM4 mass production to meet unprecedented demand, fueling record-breaking quarterly revenues that recently hit $13.6 billion.
