Recent leaks have revealed the first engineering samples for AMD's next-generation Zen 6 server lineup, codenamed Venice. The leaked data confirms processor configurations ranging from 64 to 192 cores, designed for the upcoming SP7 platform. This new socket is expected to support a dual I/O die (IOD) configuration to significantly enhance data throughput. While current flagship Turin models already reach 192 cores, Venice is projected to eventually scale up to 256 Zen 6 cores in its high-density variants. This architectural shift is critical for AMD's competition against NVIDIA and Intel in the AI and high-performance computing sectors. Venice is expected to deliver a 70% performance increase over the current EPYC 9005-series, supported by a massive jump in memory bandwidth to 1.6 TB/s.
