Google is reportedly developing TPU v7 as it transitions toward semiconductor independence for its AI chips. While currently partnering with Broadcom for ASIC design, Google is expected to leverage SerDes technology from MediaTek and third-party HBM IP for its next-generation hardware. This shift extends to networking infrastructure, positioning Google alongside Nvidia and Broadcom as a primary developer in the AI ASIC and data center networking space.
