NVIDIA demonstrates agentic AI for autonomous semiconductor testing at SEMICON Korea
Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 09:01 AM
NVIDIA presented at SEMICON Korea regarding the application of agentic AI in semiconductor testing processes to solve practical manufacturing challenges and improve operational efficiency.
Context
NVIDIA recently demonstrated new agentic AI solutions designed for autonomous semiconductor testing at SEMICON Korea 2025. Presenter Tony Altinis highlighted how autonomous agents can resolve critical bottlenecks in the chip testing phase, which has historically been a labor-intensive manual process. By integrating NVIDIA NIM microservices and AI Enterprise software, these agents can independently analyze test failures and optimize hardware configurations, significantly reducing the "time-to-market" for next-generation silicon.
This move marks a strategic shift for NVIDIA as it expands its footprint from chip design into the broader semiconductor manufacturing supply chain. The demonstration aligns with the company’s massive $1 billion partnership with SK Group to build a domestic "AI Factory" powered by over 50,000 Blackwell GPUs. For investors, this represents a major efficiency play: automating the testing layer of the $600 billion global semiconductor industry could yield substantial operational savings and further solidify NVIDIA’s role as the essential infrastructure provider for the entire chip lifecycle.
