Torex Semiconductor has launched a new series of 60V DC-DC converters featuring power sequence control functions, designed to allow for the construction of minimal-class circuits.

Torex Semiconductor has launched the XD9281/XD9282 series, a new line of 60V synchronous step-down DC-DC converters for automotive and industrial sectors. These devices achieve a footprint of only 2.5 x 3.0 x 1.0 mm, representing the industry’s smallest class for high-voltage operation. The series integrates a power sequence control function, which is essential for managing the complex startup requirements of modern ADAS sensors and industrial control systems.
This launch addresses the rising demand for miniaturized power management in the transition toward 48V vehicle architectures and electric vehicles. By reducing the required mounting area by approximately 50% compared to legacy solutions, Torex Semiconductor enables significantly more compact electronic control units. As the company leverages specialized foundry capacity from partners like Tower Semiconductor, this release reinforces its competitive standing in the high-reliability semiconductor supply chain for next-generation mobility.
