Context

Nvidia has scheduled its GTC 2026 keynote for March 16 at 11:00 a.m. PDT. CEO Jensen Huang will headline the San Jose event, which serves as the primary launchpad for the company’s next-generation data center roadmap. This keynote is a critical catalyst for investors as Nvidia seeks to maintain its dominant lead in global AI infrastructure. The presentation is expected to center on the Rubin architecture, the successor to the current Blackwell platform. Rubin is projected to deliver 50 petaflops of FP4 compute performance—a significant leap from previous generations—using advanced HBM4 memory and a 3nm manufacturing process. Targeted for mass production in the second half of 2026, the platform is designed to handle the extreme processing demands of hyperscale AI factories. Beyond standard GPUs, Nvidia has recently teased "world-surprising" hardware that may include novel 3D-stacked chips or specialized AI storage solutions. With Blackwell Ultra currently in production, GTC 2026 will define the company’s technical trajectory through 2027 and its ability to outpace competitors in the semiconductor supply chain.
