ASRock has officially launched its power supply unit (PSU) product line in the South Korean market and has commenced the pre-order process.

Context

ASRock has officially entered the power supply unit market, launching its initial product lineup and beginning pre-orders in South Korea. This expansion represents a strategic move for the company to diversify beyond its core motherboard and graphics card businesses. The new offerings are categorized into four distinct series—Taichi, Phantom Gaming, Steel Legend, and Challenger—targeting a range of consumers from high-end enthusiasts to budget-conscious builders. This launch is particularly significant for the AI and high-performance computing sectors, as the flagship Taichi units deliver up to 1650W of power with 80 PLUS Titanium efficiency. These specifications, combined with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, are designed to support the massive energy requirements of next-generation GPUs. By securing a foothold in the Korean market during December 2024, ASRock positions itself to capture a larger share of the hardware ecosystem as demand for high-wattage, stable power delivery continues to rise alongside AI-driven hardware upgrades.
