SK Hynix is expanding its HBM production capacity by converting its Cheongju P&T6 fab (formerly M8) for HBM packaging and testing, with initial equipment orders placed and a cleanroom expected to open by March. This facility will eventually produce HBM4, with full operation expected to add approximately 20,000 wafers per month to SK Hynix's total HBM capacity, aiming to meet strong demand from companies like NVIDIA.
