Baker Hughes to supply power generation equipment for Crusoe AI data centers

Baker Hughes has received an order for 25 BRUSH DAX 7 generators from Boom Supersonic to support 42MW gas turbines. This equipment will provide 1.21GW of power capacity for Crusoe's AI data centers, with deliveries scheduled between 2026 and 2028.

Baker Hughes has solidified its role in the AI infrastructure supply chain by securing an order for 25 BRUSH DAX 7 generators from Boom Supersonic. These units will be paired with Boom’s 42MW Superpower aeroderivative gas turbines to provide 1.21GW of onsite power for anchor customer Crusoe. This deal brings Boom’s total firm orders to 31 generators, representing roughly 1.3GW of capacity, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-2026 and continue through 2028.
This partnership highlights Baker Hughes’ aggressive pivot toward the high-growth AI data center market as it targets $3 billion in related equipment orders through 2027. By providing reliable, off-grid baseload power, the company is addressing the critical energy bottlenecks currently facing hyperscalers and AI developers.
