Chroma's System Level Test (SLT) equipment is reportedly expected to be qualified for use with AMD's upcoming MI450 accelerator. Furthermore, the company is anticipated to achieve a 100% supply share for NVIDIA's next-generation Rubin platform SLT.
Context
Chroma is set to have its System Level Test (SLT) platform qualified for AMD’s MI450 accelerator and, crucially, is poised to keep a 100% share of SLT for Nvidia’s Rubin GPUs. The qualification clears a key bottleneck in back-end testing just as both chipmakers ready next-gen parts expected to sample and ramp through 2026.
For investors, this locks in a rare single-supplier position on two of the highest-volume AI GPU launches on the horizon—Oracle alone has flagged plans for roughly 50,000 MI450 units in late 2026. With test intensity per device rising alongside chiplet counts and HBM4 adoption, every incremental GPU sold pushes more recurring handler revenue to Chroma, giving the company outsized leverage to the AI compute cycle.
