AMD is reportedly extending the lifecycle of its RDNA 3.5 graphics architecture, maintaining it as the primary engine for mainstream Accelerated Processing Units (APUs) through 2029. This strategy creates a clear divide in the company’s portfolio; while entry-level and mid-range devices utilize the existing power-efficient design, premium SoCs and enthusiast GPUs will transition to the next-generation RDNA 5 architecture.
