The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan released data on market shares in the semiconductor industry. TSMC holds 66% of the foundry market, SK Hynix has 57% of the HBM market, and NVIDIA commands 34% of the processor market. Japan maintains a high share in semiconductor manufacturing equipment for smaller market segments and in front-end materials, though its overall share in manufacturing equipment is declining.
