This move signals a strategic shift toward radical transparency as the company enters the final stretch of its "five nodes in four years" roadmap. By endorsing third-party deep dives into its Panther Lake and Clearwater Forest architectures, Intel aims to bolster investor confidence in the technical viability of its most critical manufacturing milestone.
The 18A node remains the linchpin of the company’s turnaround, featuring foundational innovations like RibbonFET transistors and PowerVia backside power delivery. High-volume production is scheduled to begin in H2 2025, with the first Panther Lake SKUs expected to ship by year-end for broad availability in January 2026.
