A supply chain watcher claims that permissions for the NVIDIA H200 launch/export were granted, and also suggests that SiTime's high-precision clock products have begun being adopted for use in Apple's iPhone modems.

Context

On December 8–9, 2025, President Trump approved NVIDIA H200 chip exports to China, marking a significant policy shift. This decision reopens a crucial revenue channel for NVIDIA, with the U.S. collecting a 25% fee on sales. The approved chips will be roughly 18 months behind the latest models, potentially unlocking billions in addressable sales for NVIDIA. Meanwhile, SiTime is positioned for substantial growth as its MEMS timing components have reportedly been adopted in Apple’s iPhone 16e modem modules. Teardowns show SiTime clock generators on the modem board alongside Apple’s custom C1 modem, with SiTime potentially becoming the exclusive supplier. Analysts project SiTime’s revenue could reach $40M in 2025, $110M in 2026, and $240M in 2027, driven by an estimated 250–300M Apple in-house modem shipments by 2027.
