TDK has launched a new series of unit-type DC-DC converters that are 75% smaller than previous models. These units are compatible with DIN rail mounting and are designed for industrial applications where space is constrained.
Context
TDK Corporation has unveiled its new CCGS series of unit-type DC-DC converters under the TDK-Lambda brand, achieving a significant 75 percent reduction in size compared to previous models. The series features an "all-in-one" design that incorporates peripheral circuits and noise countermeasures, eliminating the need for external components. This miniaturization allows for immediate integration into high-density systems, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment and industrial robotics.
The company will begin accepting orders for the 15W and 30W models in January 2026, with mass production slated for its Nagaoka Plant in Japan. By simplifying the power supply design process, TDK addresses critical labor shortages and the need for shorter development cycles in the FA and telecommunications sectors. The firm targets annual sales of 250 million yen for these models within five years, positioning itself to capture the increasing demand for space-efficient power solutions in the AI-driven industrial supply chain.
