Apple is rumored to be preparing a low-cost MacBook model, which may feature an iPhone processor and half the DRAM of current MacBooks (8GB instead of 16GB). This strategy aims to mitigate rising memory prices and leverage Apple's in-house chip production and growing services revenue. The company is also reportedly securing new supply agreements with memory manufacturers like Samsung, SK Hynix, and Kioxia to ensure supply through at least the first half of the year.
