Kioxia announces a new AI solution for logistics systems
Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 06:40 AM
Kioxia has launched an AI solution designed to solve problems in logistics systems. A key feature is that the AI does not require retraining even when new products are added, streamlining the process.
Context
In early December 2025, Kioxia announced a significant advancement in AI-driven logistics, collaborating with Tsubakimoto Chain and EAGLYS Inc. They introduced AiSAQ™ software, combined with Kioxia's Memory-Centric AI technology, designed for automated product identification in logistics workflows. This innovative solution was publicly demonstrated at the 2025 International Robot Exhibition from December 3-6, 2025.
The core benefit of this technology is its ability to store extensive new product data, including images and features, in high-capacity storage. This allows for the rapid addition of new Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) without the need to retrain the entire base AI model. By indexing memory-stored data and moving it to SSDs, the system ensures faster and more efficient data retrieval, leveraging a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) approach for image recognition.
For investors, this development signals potential incremental demand for Kioxia's high-capacity SSDs and memory-centric AI infrastructure. Furthermore, it suggests a future with lower operational AI retraining costs and accelerated deployment timelines for logistics automation, enhancing efficiency across the supply chain.
