Dell has announced it is the first manufacturer to ship a desktop workstation, the Dell Pro Max, integrated with the Nvidia GB300 superchip.
Context
On March 16, 2026, Dell Technologies became the first original equipment manufacturer to ship workstations featuring the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip. The high-performance Dell Pro Max systems deliver up to 20 petaFLOPS of FP4 AI performance and feature 748GB of coherent memory, enabling the local operation of autonomous AI agents and trillion-parameter models without requiring cloud connectivity.
This launch marks a significant transition in the AI supply chain, moving server-grade Blackwell architecture into deskside form factors. The GB300 offers a 25% performance increase in training and inference tasks over the previous GB200 series. By integrating NVIDIA ConnectX-8 networking and custom liquid cooling, Dell is targeting enterprise developers and federal customers who require high-density compute for sovereign AI and secure, air-gapped environments.
