Nvidia expands CCL supply chain for M10 with multiple new vendors including Shengyi and TUC

Nvidia is expanding its copper clad laminate (CCL) supplier base for the upcoming M10 product line. While the previous M9 generation relied solely on Elite Material Co. (EMC), the M10 testing phase now includes three suppliers: EMC, one Taiwanese vendor (likely TUC or ITEQ), and one Chinese vendor (likely Shengyi Technology). This diversification is expected to improve supply chain flexibility and mitigate concentration risks.

Context

Nvidia is diversifying its high-end copper clad laminate (CCL) supply chain for the upcoming M10 product line, moving away from a single-source model. While the previous M9 generation relied exclusively on Elite Material Co. (EMC), the M10 testing phase now includes three qualified suppliers. New entrants Shengyi Technology from China and Taiwan Union Technology (TUC) have reportedly joined the roster, with ITEQ also positioned as a potential third-party vendor. This shift is designed to improve supply chain flexibility and mitigate risks as global demand for AI infrastructure continues to surge. This move comes as CCL manufacturers report record-breaking financials; for instance, EMC saw October revenue jump 38.8% year-over-year to NT$8.1 billion. The strategic inclusion of Shengyi and TUC allows Nvidia to secure high-speed, low-loss materials essential for next-generation GPU boards and 800G switches. By expanding its vendor base by March 2026, Nvidia effectively reduces its dependency on any single supplier and creates competitive pricing pressure within its high-performance component layer.
