Intel is initiating a multiyear strategic collaboration utilizing its enterprise and cloud partner channels to expand its reach and infrastructure footprint.

Context

Intel has established a multiyear strategic collaboration with AI chip startup SambaNova Systems to deploy high-performance AI inference solutions across global enterprise and cloud channels. Announced in February 2026, the partnership follows SambaNova’s $350 million Series E funding round, which included significant participation from Intel Capital. This alliance aims to provide a scalable alternative to dominant GPU-centric infrastructure by integrating Intel Xeon processors and networking technology with SambaNova’s full-stack AI systems. The collaboration focuses on leveraging Intel’s extensive distribution network to accelerate the adoption of SambaNova’s new SN50 chip, which reportedly delivers 5x faster performance for agentic AI workloads compared to rival products. By combining Intel’s "enterprise, cloud, and partner channels" with SambaNova’s specialized architecture, the companies seek to capture a significant share of the multibillion-dollar AI inference market. This move strengthens Intel’s data center strategy under CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who also serves as SambaNova’s chairman, positioning the firm as a key provider in the evolving AI supply chain.
