Nvidia Korea is scheduled to host its specialized Korea AI Expert Day at the GTC 2026 conference in San Jose. This initiative follows a significant expansion of the company’s presence in South Korea, marked by the recent AI Day Seoul which attracted over 1,000 developers and industry leaders. The upcoming event aims to provide a dedicated platform for Korean researchers and startups to engage directly with Nvidia engineers on specialized topics like sovereign AI and agentic workflows.
This strategic outreach is underpinned by a massive infrastructure push in the region. Nvidia and SK Group recently announced plans to build one of Korea’s largest AI factories, utilizing more than 50,000 GPUs. Simultaneously, the Korean government is investing in sovereign AI infrastructure that will deploy an additional 260,000 NVIDIA GPUs across national computing centers and cloud providers like Samsung Electronics and NAVER Cloud, positioning South Korea as a critical hub in the global AI supply chain.
