Qualcomm’s global commercial channel chief, Kyle Houser, has resigned to join Fluence Energy, marking the second major leadership exit from the firm’s channel division in four months. His departure follows that of Jeff Monday, the former head of global enterprise sales. These leaders were central to building the distribution network for the Snapdragon X Series as it attempts to break the long-standing x86 dominance held by Intel and AMD.
This turnover occurs during a pivotal ramp-up for the Snapdragon X2 processors, which debuted at CES 2026 featuring 80 TOPS of AI performance. While Qualcomm targets 50% of the Windows PC market within five years, recent data shows it currently holds less than 1% share. Investors are assessing if these executive shifts will slow the enterprise adoption required to effectively challenge the entrenched ecosystems of Intel and AMD.
