A schedule of upcoming 2026 semiconductor and infrastructure industry events includes the Nvidia GTC 2026 conference, the Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC), and Microsoft FabCon.
Context
The semiconductor and AI industries are entering a critical week of innovation as Nvidia GTC 2026 kicks off in San Jose from March 16–19. Often referred to as the "Woodstock of AI," the event features a keynote by CEO Jensen Huang and more than 1,000 sessions exploring physical AI and agentic workflows. With over 30,000 attendees expected from 190 countries, the conference serves as a primary catalyst for the next generation of AI infrastructure buildouts.
Simultaneously, Microsoft is hosting FabCon 2026 in Atlanta from March 16–20, focusing on the integration of Microsoft Fabric, AI, and data analytics. This community-led event highlights the software and data stack necessary to power enterprise-scale AI deployments. In tandem, the Optical Fiber Communications Conference (OFC) in Los Angeles addresses the hardware layer, showcasing breakthroughs in 1.6T and 3.2T transmission and co-packaged optics essential for supporting the massive bandwidth requirements of modern AI data centers.
