Nordic Semiconductor has launched the nRF54LV10A, a new low-voltage Bluetooth LE System-on-Chip designed for next-generation healthcare wearables like biosensors and glucose monitors, with development quantities available now and production expected in Q2 2026.
Context
Nordic Semiconductor announced the nRF54LV10A on December 2, 2025, a low-voltage Bluetooth LE SoC targeting next-generation healthcare wearables like biosensors and continuous glucose monitors. This chip's 1.2-1.7 V supply range allows operation from a single silver-oxide coin cell, enabling smaller, more affordable, and disposable medical devices. A sub-50 nA hibernation mode also extends product shelf-life. Notably, it's the first Bluetooth LE SoC to combine low-voltage capabilities with Bluetooth Channel Sounding for accurate indoor positioning.
The nRF54LV10A features an ultra-compact 1.9 x 2.3 mm package, a 128 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor, ~1 MB NVM, and 192 KB RAM. It offers ~30-50% lower power consumption than the nRF52 Series. Development samples are available now, with production expected in Q2 2026, signaling a rapid market entry and potential revenue impact for Nordic Semiconductor.
